WMGLD Installs Nets at
Fernald Field

The Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department (WMGLD) recently assisted the Wakefield Little League with the installation of new netting high above the backstop at Fernald Field. WMGLD lineworkers helped to place two 40’ poles and then used a bucket truck and ladders to hang the higher netting along the wire they installed between the two poles. The new netting has been effective in keeping foul balls from landing in adjacent parking areas and side streets.
