Dan Flynn (left), Electric Superintendent for the Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department (WMGLD), and Bruce Murison, Executive Director of Mission of Deeds (right), recently visited the first graders at St Joseph’s School to congratulate them for their efforts on behalf of the Buy-a-Bed program sponsored by Mission of Deeds and supported by the WMGLD. The first graders raised enough money by doing errands and household chores as part of their Lenten Project to buy three beds for the Reading-based organization that provides furniture and bedding to area households in need. To show their appreciation for the students’ efforts, the WMGLD added money to buy an additional bed.
