Pete Dion, left, General Manager of the Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department, represented Northeast Public Power Association (NEPPA) at Wakefield High School’s recent Career Expo ’09. During the expo, General Manager Dion talked about careers in the electric industry with several students in the junior class, including (second from left to right) Jake McCarthy, Eric Silvestri, Kevin Schilling, and Darren Speller. The WMGLD is one of 79 municipally owned electric utility companies that participate in NEPPA.
Career Expo ’09 was hosted by WHS and The Career Place to help students with career and job searches.
